Job description

Position Summary

Contract Manager-Med/Surg at Main Line Health will be responsible for managing purchasing, contracting, and utilization to identify and implement costreduction opportunities through contract optimization, product standardization, and alternative sourcing. Partners with physicians, clinical leaders, vendors, and Materiel Management to support valuebased purchasing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor purchasing and utilization trends to drive cost savings.
  • Negotiate contracts, bids, and RFPs; perform cost analysis for supplies and services.
  • Manage assigned contract and GPO portfolio to achieve savings targets.
  • Serve as liaison between vendors, physicians, clinical leaders, and Materiel Management.
  • Coordinate product evaluation, vendor selection, implementation, and education.
  • Chair the OR Value Analysis Committee; lead standardization initiatives and track savings.
  • Resolve pricing discrepancies with vendors and Accounts Payable.
  • Support PeopleSoft item master maintenance and systemlevel committee participation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of hospital medical/surgical contract management experience (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of hospital purchasing and contract management experience
  • Strong spreadsheet and materials management systems experience
  • Clinical hospital experience preferred
