What you'll be doing...
The Associate Director of Contracts will lead a Business Market Team. The position will oversee a wide spectrum of contracting activities including but not limited to developing creative offers, contract negotiation, financial modeling, administration, and closure. This role will be reporting to the Sr. Director, and the Associate Director holds primary responsibility for directing the financial analysis and contracts across the Business Market Segment for VBG. This person will ensure that contracts administration aligns with VBG's strategic goals and adheres to contractual agreements, legal mandates, and regulations.
  • Overseeing contracts, term of customer agreements and financial modeling for the Business Market Segment within VBG - focused on reducing churn.
  • Supporting the negotiation of business contracts as needed.
  • Providing internal and external advice and legal interpretation of contract terms and conditions, and identify risk and potential liability.
  • Monitoring contract performance through the life of the contract; contract maintenance and compliance to terms.
  • Making recommendations to leadership and supporting departments on ways to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Developing and working with internal customers to understand and ensure business cases support submissions.
  • Overseeing and leading personnel on the contracts team to carry out required activities.
  • Leading and developing the personnel on the contract team to better their abilities and prepare employees for next-level roles.
  • Establishing and maintaining an interlock with internal customers and supporting departments.

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Enterprise or Business Market Contracting work.
  • Experience communicating up to the VP level.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality.
  • Project management experience, including problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience functioning independently, multi-task, and realign priorities as needed.
  • Experience utilizing visualization tools to best present financial information.
  • Experience in Excel, financial modeling, cash flow evaluation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and ROI, and NPV analysis.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of professionals.
  • Be a persuasive communicator able to clearly and confidently articulate a position.
  • Strong organizational skills.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $103,000.00 - $198,000.00.
The annual salary range for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $113,500.00 - $198,000.00.
