About the role
Our Maintenance team focuses on Plant Reliability and equipment availability targets in close collaboration with the Production, Process, Safety, and Project teams.
As a Reliability Engineer based at our Chicago Heights plant, you will provide focused analysis and technical direction to eliminate equipment failures and maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). You will develop and drive a formalized, structured reliability program that ensures equipment operates with high reliability while meeting budgeted production volumes, quality targets, and life-cycle cost efficiencies.
You will be accountable for:
    • Analyzing equipment data using Pareto analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and FMEA processes to eliminate recurring "bad actors" and minimize downtime.
    • Managing capital projects from conception through mechanical completion and commissioning, including RFQ preparation, contract review, and contractor management.
    • Overseeing the PM/PdM program by developing, modifying, and monitoring preventive and predictive maintenance activities, inspection frequencies, and training.
    • Maintaining Mechanical Integrity (MI) program documentation to ensure complete compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
    • Optimizing plant resources by monitoring the spare parts inventory, conducting field walk-downs, and writing clear, concise work procedures.

About you
Engineering degree required. 5-10 years of plant maintenance and construction experience at a chemical plant.
Must be certified as an API vessel and piping inspector and hold a Category II (or higher) vibration analyst certification. Candidates without these certifications must be willing and able to obtain them within 1 year of employment.
Competencies:
    • Extensive experience in rebuilding centrifugal pumps, multi-stage compressors, gearboxes, blowers, and electrical motors, with a general awareness of pipe fitting, rigging, masonry, fabrication, electrical, instrumentation, and machining disciplines.
    • Proficient in using SAP for planning, scheduling, and documenting maintenance work orders, with strong skills in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, and experience with AutoCAD.
    • Good knowledge of English language (written and verbal).

About the pay and benefits
  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $100,000 to $118,000 per year, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
