CNC Machinist ( 6 month Contract-to-Hire) - 1st shift Hours: 6am - 2:30 p.m. Location: Elk Grove Village, IL Industry: Custom Machinery for Heating Product Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components for industrial machinery. This role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams to optimize processes, ensure quality, and suggest improvements. Occasional work on manual milling machines or lathes may be required when more efficient than CNC operations. Manual milling and lathe experience are a plus, but the primary focus is on CNC operation and programming. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts.
  • Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs (G-code).
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Occasionally work on manual milling machines or lathes for efficiency.
