Job description

CNC Machinist (Direct Hire) | Night Shift

Join a growing precision machining team and put your CNC skills to work on large-scale components for the aerospace, oil & gas, mining, and heavy equipment industries. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who can confidently set up, operate, and inspect work on CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers while maintaining tight tolerances and exceptional quality standards.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers, CNC/manual mills, and lathes to manufacture precision components.
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, attachments, and workholding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and inspection documents.
  • Machine parts to exact specifications while maintaining tolerances as tight as ±0.001".
  • Perform machine offsets, tooling changes, and setup adjustments to ensure production efficiency.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Complete in-process and final quality inspections using inspection sheets and computerized quality systems.
  • Safely operate overhead hoists to move and position large workpieces.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and production-focused work area.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment and inspection tools.
  • Ability to independently perform machine setups and tooling changes.
  • Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Fanuc controls and CNC programming.
  • Experience machining Caterpillar, Komatsu, or other heavy-equipment components.
  • Manual machining experience.
  • Experience working with large-scale parts and overhead cranes/hoists.

Monday - Thursday | 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Overtime available on Fridays
