Hi,

Good day! We are seeking a Systems Analyst 3 / Data Engineer to support the development and enhancement of a modern data integration and performance analytics platform (PMAS).

This role is part of an agile engineering team responsible for building and maintaining an enterprise-grade data integration hub that supports healthcare performance management and analytics across multiple systems and data sources.

You will act as both a technical leader and hands-on data engineer, working closely with architects, analysts, and developers to design scalable data pipelines, build complex transformations, and support enterprise reporting and visualization needs.

Candidates must currently reside in Texas. Relocation candidates will not be considered.

Job Title: Systems Analyst 3 (Data Engineering / ETL / Analytics)

Location: 4601 W Gudalupe St, Austin, TX 78751 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite Tue/Wed/Fri, 2 days remote)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Work Authorization: W2 (USC or Green Card holder only)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to an agile data engineering team supporting enterprise analytics initiatives
  • Design and implement data integration solutions across multiple platforms and systems
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL scripts for data transformation and dimensional modeling
  • Build and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IICS
  • Integrate data from diverse sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF-based data feeds
  • Support data modeling efforts for enterprise data warehouse and analytics environments
  • Develop and maintain views and materialized views in Oracle databases
  • Ensure data quality through validation, testing, and automated verification processes
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define data acquisition strategies
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos)
  • Create technical documentation, diagrams, and system specifications
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Support deployment, enhancement, and ongoing operations of the data integration platform

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience developing ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IICS
  • 8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, PDF)
  • 8+ years designing and developing complex, high-performance SQL (Snowflake or equivalent)
  • 8+ years in systems analysis or data engineering for analytics, BI, or data warehousing environments
  • Strong ability to write technical documentation, data models, and system diagrams (Visio, Erwin, MS Office)
  • Experience planning and delivering enterprise-scale data or analytics platforms
  • Strong coding practices focused on performance, scalability, and testability
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Background in healthcare data, HHS environments, or handling PII/PHI data
  • Experience with Python for data engineering or automation
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Agile tools
  • Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub / Git Actions)
  • Exposure to Java, JavaScript, or MuleSoft
  • Experience with modern BI/analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau)
  • Understanding of data security and compliance principles
  • Experience with AI-assisted data tools (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, Informatica CLAIRE)
