Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (possible extension/ conversion)

Location: Westlake, TX (Hybrid ? 2 weeks onsite per month/ alternate weeks, rest remote)

Salary: Up to $130,000/Annually or $65.00/Hourly

Role: Data Engineer

Primary Skills: Data Engineering and API Development

Role Description: The Data Engineer must have 7+ years of experience.

Must Haves:

- Must have experience with data engineering and API development

Data Engineering skills (Must Have):

- AWS

- Oracle, SQL, PLSQL,

- Python for ETL development

API Development Skills:

- Java script

- Restful API development

- CICD Jenkins, docker Kuberne

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

- Bachelor?s degree with 5+ years or master?s degree in computer science with 3+ years (or closely related field)

- Core Java and J2EE (3-5 years of experience), Dropwizard or Spring Framework (including Spring Boot) in developing RESTful services.

- Strong expertise in SQL is a must.

- Demonstrated experience developing, debugging and tuning complex SQL statements, and writing PL/SQL.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud development, deployment and application management

- Strong experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks

- Familiarity with tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, Bruno

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment

- Ability to validate, monitor, and solve issues during development, testing, or in production

- Active participation in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents
