Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Senior Java Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD or New York, NY .
Summary:
Looking for a Senior Developer for a contract role. The Developer will be working with the team to enhance enterprise level platforms. Successful candidates will be strong software developers with high-level knowledge Java fundamentals, SQL, Spring/Springboot, and AWS.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with product owners and architects to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
  • Develop solutions that are highly available, durable, scalable, and cost efficient.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline with at least 12 years' experience in Java.
  • Significant experience with
    • JAVA core fundamentals
    • SQL
    • Spring/Springboot
    • SOAP and REST
  • Experience with AWS is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems.
