Contract Inventory Analyst Jobs in Freeport, TX (NOW HIRING)

Kforce has a client in Lake Jackson, TX that is seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst to support manufacturing cost control and site accounting. This role will oversee cost-of-sales drivers, capital expenditures, working capital, support accurate and timely financial closes, budgeting/forecasting, and management reporting. Responsibilities: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities Executing month-end close procedures and journal entries Preparing account reconciliations and investigating variances Supporting physical inventory observations and ensuring accurate inventory accounting Reviewing fixed assets and supporting capitalization/depreciation processes Analyzing results, compiling management reports, and delivering ad hoc financial analyses Coordinating site estimates/forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting process Support the annual standard cost-setting process and maintain standard costing assumptions Maintain compliance with company policy and U.S. GAAP; support SOX/internal control activities (documentation, testing, and remediation as needed) Ensure audit readiness and support internal/external audit requests, including timely responses and supporting documentation Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, quantify impact, and track productivity initiatives Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA certifications preferred Minimum of 5 years of related cost accounting experience and experience performing accounting work in a manufacturing company Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and SOX/internal controls preferred Proficiency with an ERP system required; SAP experience preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
