Job Description:
The Senior Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic departmental goals that add value to the organization. This analyst will serve as the initial point of contact for allocation issues and will monitor contract entry, bill of ladings and invoicing. This person will be responsible for obtaining customer set up information and escalating inquiries to related groups. In addition to customer setups, this analyst will perform duties related to day-to-day sales, business development and account management.
What You'll Do:
  • Sets customer price for each terminal and product where supply is available to sell and enters pricing changes into software for distribution based on daily research.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, marketing and techniques, etc.
  • Performs daily market comparisons and assesses possible revenue opportunities and financial benefits for the group to determine optimum marketing returns. Also monitors competitor products and netback structure.
  • Handles the timely lifting of all NYMEX contracts on a daily basis and contacts customers who are not complying.
  • Addresses customer management (credit issues, payment problems, supply outages, etc) in a way that maintains the relationship while maintaining Metroplex standards.
  • Assists in the development and execution of marketing related materials that drive new sales initiatives.
  • Works with supply team to address customer inventory demands and forecasts.
  • Participates in offsite customer meetings, attends regional state and national conferences. Occasional airline and driving travel required.
  • Arranges web portal and DTN software set up per customer.
  • Supports sales managers with new business development and account management.
  • Assists the Sales Managers, Operations Manager, and Director of Unbranded Marketing with duties as needed.
  • Performs administrative functions to complete sales cycle (daily pricing, forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance, correspondence, and communications).
  • Calculates figures such as price discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and volumes.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, finance, logistics, communications, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years professional experience, finance, logistics, business administration preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with logistics software
