Job description

Global Procurement Organization Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support business leaders managing $7B of spend, helping drive negotiations and deliver cost savings to Amazon Operations. This is an opportunity to work closely with a results-driven procurement team, providing data-driven insights that support vendor selection and contract terms. This role requires the Senior Financial Analyst to develop analytical capabilities and financial expertise while building foundational skills in procurement finance.

You will optimize processes within the team, support the Procurement Category team with financial analyses, and provide clear recommendations backed by data. You will learn to navigate across teams to identify stakeholders, develop expertise in procurement finance, and contribute to team goals while building skills in strategic thinking and business partnership.

- Build expertise in the procurement landscape, developing knowledge of spend patterns and sourcing opportunities

You'll work closely with Category leaders managing $7B in spend, supporting negotiations with analyses that inform contract decisions

Your work will contribute to vendor selection and contract terms, providing the business team with data they need during procurement activities. You'll support business reviews with senior leaders, helping prepare materials that clarify trade-offs and support procurement strategies. Working with limited guidance, you'll tackle difficult problems while learning when to escalate and how to balance competing priorities.

You'll optimize team processes while building your expertise in procurement finance, developing skills that will prepare you for greater impact.
About the team
The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is responsible for the source-to-pay process for non-inventory goods and services needed to facilitate Amazon's supply chain. Our Finance team partners with GPO and focuses on continuously improving its scalability and efficiency. We deliver analysis to impact pricing frameworks for future contract negotiations and the RFP process for GPO categories for both Operations' Capex and Opex
