Auburn Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative with Export & Government Contracts experience to join our collaborative team in Mechanic Falls, Maine

This is anย ONSITEย position. You must be able to commute to Mechanic Falls daily.ย ย 

The Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for customers, supporting order management, quotations, product inquiries, and shipment coordination in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service while working collaboratively with internal teams to ensureย a positiveย customerย experienceย

Requirements of the Export & Government Contracts Assistant
  • Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceย 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of customer service, sales, or office experienceย 

  • Strong communicationย and customer service skillsย 

  • Excellent phone etiquette and relationship-building abilitiesย 

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentย 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsย 

  • Proficiencyย with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlookย 

  • Experience with NetSuite, ERP, or CRM software preferredย 

  • Ability to learn technical products and explain product features to customersย 

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and growย

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and emailย 

  • Process customer orders, quotations, and sample requestsย 

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensureย accurateย andย timelyย order fulfillmentย 

  • Maintain customer records, pricing information, and transaction detailsย 

  • Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate issues as appropriateย 

  • Support sales, marketing, and business development initiativesย 

  • Generate reports and analyze customer and sales data using NetSuiteย 

  • Assistย with export, government contract, and other customer service functions as neededย 

  • Welcome visitors and support administrative activitiesย 

  • Participate in training, special projects, and continuous improvement initiativesย
