Job description

Role Summary

Supports the development and execution of strategic advisory on Trade-related topics (pharmaceutical purchasing and contracting) for the PBM Client Underwriting organization. Contributes to strategies by analyzing market intelligence and data insights, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering actionable recommendations. Manages processes and ensures consistent delivery of insights to support business outcomes.

What You Will Do
  • Provide strategic advisory on Trade implications of PBM client pricing strategies and client requests, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to address business needs
  • Contribute formulary, rebate, and other Trade insights to inform Underwriting RFP strategy and enhance rebate value for prospects and renewing clients
  • Ensure Trade-related contractual requirements are appropriately addressed within RFP responses
  • Provide input on key Underwriting assumptions that may impact future rebate value
  • Analyze and apply market intelligence to support strategies for formulary initiatives
  • Partner with Trade, Underwriting, and Finance teams to support Connected PBM Ecosystem initiatives and ensure alignment across functions
  • Maintain and improve processes related to RFP support, advisory workflows, and Trade-related deliverables
Minimum Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong execution and delivery skills (planning, organizing, and supporting workstreams)
  • 5+ years experience with pharmacy benefit management, prescription drug rebates, prescription drug spend, pharmacy rebate knowledge, and/or formulary strategies
  • Strong analytical and business intelligence capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with sound judgment
  • Growth mindset with willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills with ability to clearly convey insights and recommendations
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience reviewing and redlining contract language, in partnership with Legal, to manage risk and align with business objectives
  • Exposure and/or knowledge of the evolving pharmaceutical regulatory environment
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
