Founding Branch Manager – San DiegoPosition Summary

Cap Edge Construction is looking for an experienced General Manager / Branch Lead to help launch and grow our new San Diego office.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than just another management position. You'll play a key role in establishing our presence in the San Diego market by building relationships, hiring and developing a team, overseeing operations, and growing revenue from the ground up.

You'll begin by working closely with our leadership team in Orange County to learn our systems, processes, and culture before transitioning into leading the San Diego branch. As the office grows, you'll have significant influence over hiring, operations, sales strategy, and long-term success.

Key ResponsibilitiesBranch Leadership
  • Lead the successful launch and growth of the San Diego office.

  • Build and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop estimators, project managers, technicians, and administrative staff.

  • Establish operational procedures that align with Cap Edge standards.

Business Development
  • Develop relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, plumbers, mitigation contractors, consultants, TPAs, and referral partners.

  • Represent Cap Edge throughout the San Diego market.

  • Identify opportunities for strategic growth and market expansion.

  • Assist with networking events and industry organizations.

Operations
  • Oversee daily branch operations.

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and quickly resolve escalated concerns.

  • Review job profitability and operational performance.

  • Work closely with estimating and production teams to maximize efficiency.

Financial Performance
  • Manage branch budgets and financial performance.

  • Monitor revenue, gross profit, job costs, and key performance indicators.

  • Develop strategies to achieve branch growth goals.

  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

Team Development
  • Coach and mentor employees.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.

  • Foster accountability and professional development throughout the branch.


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in restoration, construction, or a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of insurance restoration, including water, fire, mold, and reconstruction.

  • Experience managing estimators, project managers, or production teams.

  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.

  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience reviewing financial performance and job profitability.

  • Valid California driver's license.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience opening or growing a branch office.

  • Existing relationships within the San Diego insurance restoration market.

  • Xactimate proficiency.

  • IICRC certifications.

  • Experience working with Contractor Connection, Lionsbridge, Sedgwick, or similar TPA programs.

  • General Contractor license or experience managing licensed construction operations.

  • Experience with Dash, Encircle, Matterport, or similar restoration software.
