Start Date: 08/31/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,571–$1,637 per week | Guaranteed hours: 0 | Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12) | Setting: inpatient acute care environment, travel assignment
The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Wellstar Values. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses Critical Care are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including assessments, continuous monitoring, medication administration, and updating the plan of care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans and discharge planning
- Monitor patient status and equipment; respond to changes, escalate to physicians as needed, and participate in rapid assessment when required
- Maintain accurate documentation; ensure patient and family education, safety, and comfort; support transitions of care
- Uphold professional standards by following the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and hospital policies; engage in evidence-based practice and quality improvement
- Participate in daily rounds and care conferences to coordinate patient care and treatment goals
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a PCU/inpatient acute care setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to function effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with assignment expectations
