What is a Contract Injection Mold?

A Contract Injection Mold refers to a manufacturing arrangement where a company outsources the creation of plastic parts to a specialized injection molding service provider. These providers use precision molds to inject molten plastic into the desired shapes, producing components based on the client's specifications. This approach allows businesses to access expertise and equipment without investing in their own molding facilities, making it cost-effective for both prototyping and large-scale production. Contract injection molding is commonly used in industries such as automotive, medical devices, consumer goods, and electronics.
