Gynecologic Surgeon Position - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), located in the heart of Albuquerque, serves as a cornerstone of the community's healthcare. Major Duties of the Position:

  • Provide high-quality gynecologic surgical services in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran outpatient and inpatient population.
  • Deliver patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic gynecologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the specific gynecologic surgical needs of patients.
  • Perform and interpret various gynecologic surgical procedures, including hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, myomectomies, and other related surgeries.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including cases that may require multidisciplinary management.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for gynecologic surgery patients.

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Highly qualified individuals may be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive in accordance with agency policy. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
