Title: Gynecological Teaching Associate - Simulation Center - Per diem, variable 8-hour shifts between 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. *Must be willing to travel/work out of Norwalk Hospital and/or Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie as needed.

Summary: Under the supervision of clinical education, the Gynecological Teaching Associate provides standardized, high-quality medical education in the Department of Simulation. The Gynecological Teaching Associate is trained to teach clinical breast and pelvic examinations to medical students, residents, APPs, and other healthcare learners using their own bodies. The Gynecological Teaching Associate instructs on physical examination techniques, patient-centered communication, and provides feedback to learners in a supportive environment for skill development and practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Teaches the breast and pelvic examination to medical students, residents, nurses, and healthcare learners.

2. Able to accurately assess learner performance of clinical skills related to the breast and pelvic examination.

3. Provides feedback to learners.

4. Flexible and reliable with scheduling and assignments.

5. Exercises discretion and ensures a high level of confidentiality with learners.

6. Willingness to work cooperatively with learners, educators, and staff.

7. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

8. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values.

9. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.

10. Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
