Immediate need for a talented Senior Firmware Engineer . This is a Long-Term contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Raleigh/Durham/Morrisville/Cary, NC (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Location: Raleigh/Durham/Morrisville/Cary, NC (Onsite) Relocation is also fine.
  • Support migration from Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch architecture across multiple platforms.
  • Develop and validate switch firmware changes required for feature parity and platform compatibility.
  • Work with hardware, firmware, and architecture teams to support board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with PCIe switch configuration, DMA routing, GPU-to-GPU communication, and interoperability testing.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve firmware and platform issues during qualification and deployment.
  • Support sustainment of Atlas 2-based platforms while Atlas 3 migration activities are underway.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • 7+ years of firmware or embedded systems development experience.
  • Strong C/C++ and Embedded Linux expertise.
  • Experience with PCIe architecture, PCIe switches, and server platform firmware.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and low-level debugging.
  • Familiarity with data center, storage, AI, or HPC platforms.
  • Experience with Broadcom PCIe switch technologies (Atlas/PEX family).
  • Knowledge of UEFI, BMC/XClarity, Redfish, CXL, GPUs, and accelerator-based systems.
  • Experience working with OEM server platforms and platform validation teams.
  • Success Criteria
  • Successful Atlas 3 enablement across targeted platforms.
  • Minimal disruption to existing Atlas 2 products.
  • Accelerated qualification, improved platform stability, and timely product readiness.
