Cybersecurity & IT Specialist
The Opportunity:
Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming. In all of this "cyber noise," how can organizations understand and mitigate risks? The answer is you. We need your knowledge as an information security risk specialist to help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.
On our team, you'll work with government counterparts to discover cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop mitigation plans or strategy. You'll get technical and personnel details to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll help your team guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.
You'll work on translating security concepts for your client so they can make the best decisions to secure their legacy and next generation mission-critical systems. This is your opportunity to take an active role in information security while growing your skills.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, systems administration, or network engineering
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security controls across enterprise environments
  • Experience with vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for Risk Management Framework (RMF) reporting
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT-related NIST Special Publications (SP)
  • Knowledge of the security principles of Data-at-Rest and Data-in-Motion
  • Ability to review and analyze a wide range of software, network, and security artifacts for credibility
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting HQ USAF, STRATCOM, AFGSC, NC3, or nuclear C2
  • Knowledge of USAF and DoW security policies, programs, and regulations
  • Knowledge of NIST Special Publications (SP): 800-218, 800-209, 800-207, 800-184, 800-161, 800-137, 800-123, 800-94, 800-82, 800-53, 1800-35, 1800-34, 1800-14, and 1800-10
  • Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • COMPTIA Security+ Certification
  • Information Systems Professional (CISSP) Certification
  • Google Professional Cloud Security Certification
  • AWS Certification
  • Microsoft and governance, risk, and compliance certifications

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
