Salary up to $90K plus benefits

PROFESSIONAL DRAINAGE ENGINEER
LOCATION: TUCSON, AZ

Summary of Position Responsibilities:

The Drainage Engineer (P.E.) is required to be able to move forward on multiple projects concurrently and work closely with all disciplines for those projects. Additionally, this position will research the distribution, circulation, and physical properties of underground and surface waters. These responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Investigate watersheds using Rational Method, HEC-RAS, and/or Flow-2D as appropriate.
Prepare documents for submittal of CLOMR's, LOMR's and similar documents.
Organizing and scheduling work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
Coordination with CAD technicians and other design team members specific to drainage design.
Research and conform to applicable city/agency design guidelines, codes and checklists.
Prepare drainage calculations and reports.
Assist with preparation of feasibility studies.
Resolve drainage related issues in the field and coordinate with plan reviewers on all matters related to drainage design.
Coordinate with all disciplines involved (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural), including outside consultants and contractors as needed.
Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specification within discipline area.
Participate in meetings with Customers, and Owners to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
Provide real time advice and decisions, technical in nature and cost estimates as needed to the project managers.
Perform various other design tasks under the direction of others.

 Minimum Requirements:

Licensed Civil Engineer in Arizona.
Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, hydrology, geomorphology or similar discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; 5+ years is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in surface hydrology as related to land development. Experience in land development or site/commercial development is preferred.
Proficiency with HEC-RAS and Flow-2D is required.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite is required, and a high adaptability to learning new software and technology.
Ability to provide technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of construction plan preparation and details.
Effective time-management, written and oral communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Professionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
Ability to work both individually and with a team, give and take direction and go beyond your job description when needed.
Solid writing and organization skills.
Possess strong work ethic, attention to detail, and integrity.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
