Position Description:

The Department of Geographic & Environmental Sciences is seeking part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses. Current anticipated openings include face-to-face and distance education courses in Human Geography, Physical Geography, Environmental Sciences, Geomorphology and Geology or related fields. All positions are for one semester in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal as departmental needs require. Preference given to those holding an M.S. at time of appointment.
Instructors are expected to utilize Blackboard to submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with designated academic program director, submit final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer such as completing an attestation disclosure form, along with completing annual evaluations.
