Job Title: General LaborJob Description

This contract General Labor role supports operations in the tote bringing area at a large maraschino cherry production site. You handle a variety of physical tasks, with a strong focus on moving pipes and hoses and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis. You help keep equipment and totes clean and organized to support smooth production and harvesting activities.

Responsibilities
  • Move pipes, hoses, and other irrigation equipment safely and efficiently within the tote bringing area.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Clean totes and related equipment to maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Support general production tasks as needed, including packing, sorting, and basic general labor duties.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques to minimize risk of injury.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and promptly remove debris or waste from work areas.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure workflow runs smoothly and assist with miscellaneous tasks as directed.
  • Adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a production environment.
  • Proven ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously during a shift.
  • Experience performing general labor tasks such as moving equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work safely in an active production setting with exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Reliability and consistency in following instructions and completing assigned tasks.
