Showroom Execution Team - Furniture Handler

AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking aFurniture Handler Specialist to join our new IQ OPS Team operating out of our Fort Mill DC Location.This well-organized team will partner with DC and Retail Operations and be customer-facing.This team will support our surrounding retail locations with inventory transfers, receiving of inventory, loading and unloading of furniture, furniture prep and assembly in addition to floor moves and repackaging of sold product.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MEMORY MAKER:

  • Loads & unloads trucks at warehouse and retail locations manually or with hand trucks without damaging products.
  • Identify and communicate any physical damage to IQ Ops Professional
  • Use barcode scanner to systemically receive inventory.
  • Assemble items for showroom display
  • Disassemble and/or wrap sold product for customer pick up or transfer.
  • Maintain buildings, grounds, tools and equipment as an area of pride.
  • Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities with a desire to Furnish Life's best Memories for our internal and external customers.
  • Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and safety guidelines.
  • Operating recycling machinery.
  • Sorting and processing dunnage.
  • Follow company attendance policy

MEMORY MAKER PERKS & BENEFITS:

  • This position is contract-to-hire
  • You will receive benefits after 60 days of employment such as Medical, Dental, and Vision with our 3rd party agency
  • Hourly Rate of $16-18/hr based on experience. Paid weekly
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options available upon conversion to BRR
  • You will receive 8 Vacation days in the first year, up to 12 days after the 4th year. You will receive 5 Wellness days and 3 Paid Holidays. You will also be eligible for Washington Paid Sick Leave upon conversion to BRR
  • 401K matching contribution up to 4% upon conversion to BRR
  • You may be eligible to participate in the profit-sharing bonus program upon conversion to BRR

  • Manual dexterity and capacity to maneuver furniture

  • Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the shift

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
  • Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
