Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 1+ year of home health experience and BLS certification.

Details
  • Home health care setting providing skilled home visits
  • Diverse patient population including med/surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, neuro, trachs, trauma, and amputee cases
  • Serves patients with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial insurance
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 6-8 home skilled visits per day (minimum of 6 points daily, subject to manager discretion)
  • 1-2 weekends required per contract
  • Self-scheduled visits and hours based on office needs
  • Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
  • Provided with laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer
Requirements
  • Current OT license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
  • Must be an independent practitioner
  • BLS certification required
  • OASIS training preferred
  • LSVT certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Must be COVID vaccinated or have exemption on file
  • Must have flu shot or declination form, with mandatory mask wearing if declined
Additional Information
  • Conduct home visits including ADLs, adaptive equipment assessments, home assessments, and pre-discharge planning
  • Perform wheelchair evaluations, adjustments, and positioning
  • Utilize splinting techniques including static, dynamic, and functional splints
  • Work with prosthetics including above-knee and below-knee prosthetics
  • Provide services for orthopedic conditions including hip and knee replacements
  • Complete OASIS assessments, plans of care, and reassessments
  • Any solid color scrubs required
  • Smoke-free facility
  • Facility does not allow RTO during contract dates
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
