Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring cardiac drip and dysrhythmia experience, with night shift scheduling at a Forbes Best-In-State Employer facility.

Details
  • 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
  • High-acuity patient population including cardiac and neurovascular cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Cardiac drip administration including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
  • Dysrhythmia monitoring and management
  • EMR: Epic
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available with block scheduling
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
Requirements
  • Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand and in good standing (no pending licensure)
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience with high-acuity patients
  • Cardiac drip experience required (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
  • Dysrhythmia experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Former permanent staff of this facility are ineligible for 10 years following their departure
  • RTO of 3–5 days preferred; maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Flu and COVID vaccinations required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted
  • Scrub dress code: all navy, or navy bottoms with a white top
