Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 77-bed Medical Unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8 on nights
  • Operate and manage equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
  • Work various shift lengths and days as required; flexibility is essential
  • Float to other units as needed, including a cardiovascular unit and a general medical unit
  • Adhere to professional nursing attire and facility dress code standards
  • Complete unit-specific orientation and training program prior to independent practice
Required Qualifications
  • Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception prior to contract start
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Up to 10 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Prior experience with Meditech EMR systems
  • Experience managing chest tubes and wound vac therapy
