Job description

POSITION: FLEET MANAGER

We are currently seeking a qualified and dynamic Fleet Manager to join our team at COMANCO. We are looking for an individual who can oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of our construction fleet.

Job Focus:

Fleet Maintenance and Repair:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage relationships with external maintenance vendors and service providers.

Asset Management:

  • Track and monitor the utilization of the fleet, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement inventory management systems to track spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the condition and value of the fleet assets.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations and safety.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and policies for the construction fleet.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the fleet budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, negotiate contracts with vendors, and monitor expenses related to fleet operations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Budget Administration: Demonstrate proficiency in preparing and administering budgets for efficient fleet management.
  • Computer Skills: Possess a working knowledge of database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and Outlook.
  • Driving Record: Have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
