These engineers work with banks, startups, or financial institutions to build secure, scalable, and compliant applications such as payment systems, trading platforms, or digital wallets. They often possess strong skills in programming languages relevant to fintech, as well as knowledge of financial regulations and security best practices. Contract roles offer flexibility for both the engineer and the hiring company, typically focusing on short-term or specialized projects.
