What is a Contract Finance Remote job?

A Contract Finance Remote job involves handling financial tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial analysis for an organization on a contract basis, while working remotely. Professionals in these roles may work with multiple clients or companies, helping them manage their finances without being tied to a single employer or physical office. This setup offers flexibility and is ideal for those who prefer remote work and have expertise in finance, accounting, or related fields.

How does working remotely as a Contract Finance professional impact collaboration with other departments?

As a remote Contract Finance professional, you will frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams such as legal, procurement, and project management through virtual meetings, emails, and collaborative platforms. While remote work can introduce challenges like time zone differences and reliance on digital communication, most organizations use specialized software to streamline contract approvals, financial reporting, and compliance reviews. Regular check-ins and clearly defined processes help ensure smooth coordination, making proactive communication skills essential for success in this remote environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Contract Finance professional working remotely, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Contract Finance professional in a remote setting, you need a strong background in accounting or finance, analytical skills, and often a relevant degree or certification such as CPA or CFA. Familiarity with financial management software, ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle), and advanced Excel skills are typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and self-motivation are critical soft skills for succeeding in a remote environment. These skills ensure accurate financial oversight, effective collaboration, and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.

Job description

Description
Ox Security secures the AI-driven SDLC from prompt to production. We eliminate critical, real-time risks from AI code generation through cloud runtime by doing what conventional tools can't: unifying development and cloud context to stop vulnerabilities right at the source. At OX, we're building the future of cyber security for the AI era. If you're looking to work on disruptive technology with an amazing team, you belong here.
We're looking for a strategic, commercially minded, AI-forward VP Finance to join our executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, as our top finance leader. This is a pivotal, high-impact role where you will take end-to-end ownership of OX's financial architecture, capital strategy, and SaaS economics. Working in direct partnership with the CEO and other VPs, your goal is to drive efficient growth, architect the AI-native systems and scalable processes that fuel our next stage, and position OX for the strategic optionality that comes with scale & fundraising.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
  • Strategic Partnership & Capital Allocation: Partner with the CEO and executive team on capital allocation, pricing strategy, and the financial narrative for our next chapter. Own investor relations, board reporting, and end-to-end support of fundraising processes.
  • SaaS Economics & GTM Partnership: Own our core B2B SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, payback) as live operating metrics, not board-deck decoration. Partner closely with GTM leadership on pricing, packaging, commission design, and commercial deal economics.
  • FP&A, Planning & Capital Efficiency: Lead FP&A and the annual planning cycle. Build the models, dashboards, and forecasts the business actually runs on. Drive Rule of 40 posture, burn multiples, and efficient growth planning across the executive team.
  • Corporate Development: Lead financial diligence, build-vs-buy modeling, valuation work, and post-deal integration finance for inorganic growth opportunities and partnership structures.
  • Team & Financial Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale the existing finance team for the next stage of the company. Hold full P&L accountability, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Revenue Accounting & Audit Readiness: Own SaaS revenue recognition policy across multi-year, ramp, and usage-based deals. Lead audit readiness.
  • AI-Native Finance Operations & Systems: OX is an AI-forward company. Reshape how the finance function operates by shipping workflows that use AI agents - you'll have access to our internal agent pipeline. Own the finance tech stack: ERP, billing, RevRec tooling, equity management, and Salesforce-to-finance integration.
  • Treasury, Banking & FX: Manage cash, banking relationships, and foreign exchange exposure across global entities. Optimize working capital, intercompany flows, and currency risk.
  • Global Operations & Admin: Oversee global financial operations including payroll, insurance, ESOP and equity processes, subsidiary management, and strategic relationships with external partners (auditors, banks).
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure US regulatory compliance and carefully navigate international tax laws across our global entities.
  • Commercial & Legal: Partner with external & Internal counsels on financial and legal review of customer contracts and commercial negotiations.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a VP of Finance with a proven track record in a scaling high-tech / startup environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Leadership & Management: Proven experience managing, leading, and developing a finance team within a growing organization.
  • Process & Tech Driven: Strong passion for operational excellence and a "hands-on" approach to implementing processes and leveraging AI/automation tools.
  • Financial & Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to manage end-to-end financial operations, combined with strong commercial experience in managing contractual aspects.
  • Familiarity with US regulatory frameworks and international tax laws.
  • Startup DNA: Comfortable working in fast-paced environments. You are a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels - from board decks to cross-functional alignment.

Bonus Points For
  • Master's degree (MBA) or advanced relevant degree.
  • Experience with advanced ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and AI-driven financial platforms.
  • Prior hands-on experience overseeing corporate legal operations.
  • Experience in the Cybersecurity industry.

Compensation & Benefits
We believe in taking care of our team so they can focus on what they do best.
Salary & Equity
  • Salary: $260,000 - $330,000 USD per year.
  • Equity: This role is eligible for a Stock Options package, allowing you to share in OX Security's success.
  • Note: Final offer will be determined based on the candidate's specific location, experience, and skillset.

Benefits Package (via Vensure)
We partner with Vensure to provide top-tier benefits for our US-based team members:
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision plans to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO): We offer unlimited vacation because we trust you to take time when you need it and to manage your time effectively. We value work-life balance and want you to recharge.
  • Gifts on your birthday & anniversary &Holidays.
