This position requires a hands-on individual capable of working on and monitoring many tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will perform daily Quality Department document assembly and maintain the Document Control System, including activities on document approval and release, maintenance of archival records, maintenance drawings, and all related activities to document information traceability. You will need to be detail-oriented and highly motivated to complete tasks. You will use computer software programs to check contracts for accuracy and manage vital information.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs quality assurance and quality control of engineering documentsEnsures document transmittals by others are accurate and completeWork with management to ensure documented information is maintained and preserved from damageCreate and review data packagesAbility to read and understand Traveler Documents (job orders)Ability to perform steps for each process – purchase materials, send out for process, raw material needs, certifications, ensure certifications are present, conform to what is requested, verify certifications are presentPerforms administrative duties in support of the Documentation departmentMust have a working knowledge of MRP SystemThe ability to understand general engineering documents is a plusOrganized work habits and the ability to multi-task requiredAssess incoming product lots for compliance with specification requirementsAlerts management of significant quality, compliance, supply, and safety risksAssist with the acceptance of P.O.'s, make sure that correct Mil Spec references are listed, and that any drawings needed are attachedTrace and document material certs for orders as neededMaintain and update department documentation, processes, and proceduresCreate customer certifications for completed ordersPerform other duties as assigned, supporting various departments as neededWHAT YOU BRING TO UPC:Proficient in general computer and documentation skillsExcellent knowledge of general office equipment and skills, especially filing and typingExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectivelyDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of workStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.RequiredHigh School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.2 or more years of relevant experience1 or more years of relevant manufacturing industry experiencePreferredAn engineering degree or aerospace experience is a plus3 or more years of quality document experience in aerospace and defense manufacturingSAP Experience or similar ERPExperience with AS9100 and ISO9001Experience with ITAR ComplianceBENEFITS:MedicalDentalVision401KPaid HolidaysVacation TimePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here represent those that a team member must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
