Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer II to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on complex matters

  • Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads

  • Approach tasks with a project mindset, to include coordination with other disciplines throughout the duration of the project; propose innovative solutions to design problems with an understanding of project scope and goals

  • Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work product

  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review; perform independent peer reviews on teamwork products

  • Review contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governingtransportationdesign codes and contract plans and specifications

  • Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record for mid-size and miscellaneoustransportationdesigns

  • Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties

  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates, providing technical proposal support, and participating in marketing campaigns

  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management

  • Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals

  • Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors
