Summary
LEGENDS GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Facility Engineer for LEGENDS Global Stockton in Stockton, CA who is responsible for all aspects of maintenance in the facilities. Ensures that all facility equipment at all Stockton Complex sites, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical plants; lighting and climate control systems; roofing systems; telecommunications, equipment are operating properly and efficiently, and maintained in good condition. Oversee general facility maintenance; and proper delivery of event-related utility services. Performs the following duties personally or through a subordinate:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operation of the Facility Engineering & Maintenance Department.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, BMS, life safety, lighting, and emergency power systems across the Stockton Complex.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of facility equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, HVAC equipment, generators, transfer switches, and related systems.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and operational improvements.
  • Manage work orders, preventive maintenance, asset records, and reporting through the Altum work order and PM system.
  • Ensure facilities are event-ready and respond to facility emergencies and critical system failures.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
  • Track and monitor quotes, PO, and invoices in accordance with contractors and the finance department.
  • Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, NFPA, and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Lead departmental safety initiatives and maintain a safe working environment through CAL OSHA occupational safety training.
  • Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets; recommend equipment repairs, replacements, and capital improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and critical spare equipment.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor departmental work while providing technical guidance and support.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and operate maintenance equipment as needed.
  • Partner with Operations and Event Services to support event and facility needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Facility Engineering & Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LEGENDS GLOBAL's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • Associate degree, trade certification (HVAC, electrical, or related field), or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of experience in facility engineering, building operations, or commercial/industrial maintenance.
  • Trade licenses or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Cal/OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards, Cal/OSHA regulations, and applicable building and fire codes.

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Ability to work irregular / extended hours, including night and weekend duties is required.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient computer skills to operate BMS / other automated systems. Applicants should have working knowledge of normal business applications such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Adobe, et cetera.
Other Qualifications
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
  • Requires ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

Compensation
The salary range is $105,000 - $120,000.
