We are seeking a Merchandising Manager to join our Calhoun GA team. The Merchandising Manager manages the end-to-end lifecycle of physical in-store merchandising systems - fixtures, displays, and sample programs - alongside soft surface product lines. This role bridges the gap between creative strategy, financial planning, and operational execution to ensure that merchandising initiatives drive profitable growth and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Responsibilities Include: (but not limited to):
  1. Strategy & Conceptualization
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify customer preferences and competitive landscapes.
  • Develop Point of Purchase (POP) physical materials and visual concepts with marketing that accompany new product launches.
  1. Financial Planning & Procurement
  • Negotiate pricing and handle formal contracts for all merchandising and display materials.
  • Partner with the Finance department to ensure all initiatives align with established budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Manage the RFQ (Request for Quote) process and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Manage the end-to-end production workflow with display vendors.
  1. Development, Sampling & Production
  • Facilitate the prototype production process with vendors to ensure design intent and quality standards.
  • In conjunction with the Inventory and Samples departments, oversee sample board production, including: labeling, quantity determination, and ordering.
  • Inspect and provide final approval for merchandising designs before they move into full-scale production.
  • Proof order forms and new product introduction (NPI) sell sheets for accuracy.
  1. Deployment & Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide regular communication updates to the Commercial team regarding display delivery timelines and logistics coordination.
  • Spearhead all merchandising coordination and layout design for Trade Shows (Surfaces, CCA Global, Abbey/FTG) and Special Events.
  • Partner with the Operations team to manage the physical build-out of booth spaces and large-scale convention displays.
  • Create and distribute finalized display sell sheets (subject to SVP approval).
  1. Performance Analysis & Optimization
  • Analyze SKU productivity and sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of current merchandising strategies.
  • Advise on product lifecycle decisions, including product introductions, continuations, and discontinuations.
  • Recommend product line rationalization and assortment planning to maximize profitability and reduce complexity.
  • Manage display re-designs, expansions, and improvements based on field feedback and sales data.

Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or merchandising within flooring or home dรฉcor.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Tableau for SKU productivity reporting.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multifaceted timelines and vendor contracts.
  • Superior communication skills to bridge Finance, Operations, Sales, and Suppliers.
