Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and testing of complex software systems for defense and aerospace applications for the CUAS project office test tools. This role involves working within a collaborative team environment to deliver innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain software components and applications in accordance with system requirements and architectural guidelines.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to verify software performance and adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering.

Job Qualifications::
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-8 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in object-oriented programming language (C#).
  • Experience with software design patterns and principles.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Unity 3D engine
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain a security clearance (Active Secret or higher).
