Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based (In-Person)
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Oak Park, MI
Onsite – In Person Only

Position Summary
RCM Health Care Services is seeking full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide in-person, school-based therapy services for students in the Oak Park, MI area for the current school year, with a strong likelihood of continuing into the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will support student communication development, collaborate with educators, and ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant services in accordance with school and state guidelines.

Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift
  • School year schedule (aligned with academic calendar)
  • Full-time or part-time opportunities available
  • Contract role (W2)
Key Duties:
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and determine eligibility per Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
  • Develop, implement, and manage IEPs and caseload
  • Provide therapy for articulation, language, voice, and fluency impairments
  • Collaborate with teachers to support language acquisition and sound awareness through modeling, lessons, and team teaching
  • Participate in intervention team meetings and communicate progress with parents/guardians
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports in a timely manner
  • Travel between multiple school buildings as needed

Requirements
Education:
  • Required: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Required:
    • Clinical Competence Certificate (CCC)
    • Michigan State certification or eligibility
  • Preferred:
    • State of Michigan certification as Teacher of Speech and Language Impaired
    • SB endorsement
    • Early Childhood or Elementary Education certification
Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 60 semester hours in communication sciences and disorders
  • Minimum of 300 supervised practicum hours
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment and therapy across speech and language disorders

Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy and assessment practices
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage caseloads efficiently
