Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing data center projects from startup through commissioning. You will work with a range of data center environments-from colocation facilities to hyperscale sites-to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong mechanical background, with specific expertise in thermal execution, particularly in chilled water systems, along with a deep understanding of the functional and integrated system testing of thermal equipment in a data center environment. Experience in other industries is also valuable. The ideal candidate will be a professional with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, an industry training program, or equivalent years of experience, who is ready to further their skills in the Data Center market.

What you will do:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage data center projects, ensuring timely execution from startup to commissioning.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules that track milestones and deliverables.
    • Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and project modifications in alignment with client requirements.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Oversee integrated system testing and functional testing of data center sites.
    • Provide expertise in thermal execution for data centers, particularly in chilled water systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering and technical teams.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Manage and mentor technicians on-site, ensuring clear communication and adherence to project plans.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for technical and operational questions during project execution.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction management, and client services.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Interface with data center customers to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Ensure projects meet customer specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
    • Support post-installation follow-up to verify operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What you will bring:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, industry training programs, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience managing projects in the data center, industrial, or HVAC sectors.
    • Demonstrated expertise in thermal execution, especially in systems involving chilled water or water cooling.
    • Experience in integrated system testing, commissioning, and functional testing is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of complex data center infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and engage with technical staff.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
