This is a long-term opportunity to own projects end-to-end, driving quality, safety, and schedule performance while coordinating multiple trades in a technically demanding environment.

About the Role:

As Construction Superintendent, you will manage day-to-day site operations for interior data center projects, with a primary scope around conveyance systems such as cable trays and associated infrastructure. You will ensure work is executed to plan, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications. Your leadership on site will be central to delivering high-quality installations that support mission-critical data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities on site, ensuring all work related to cable trays and interior conveyance systems is executed according to plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors and trades, sequencing work to maintain schedule and minimize conflicts in an active data center environment.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents, providing clear direction to field teams and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Monitor project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep milestones and deadlines on track.
  • Manage on-site quality control and inspection processes, verifying that installations meet required standards and client expectations.
  • Enforce safety compliance and OSHA standards across the site, conducting safety meetings, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Track and report site-level production, labor, and material usage to support budgeting and cost control efforts.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns related to construction activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar site leadership role on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Strong background in construction site supervision, including coordination of multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cable tray installation and related conveyance systems within interior building environments.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and inspection processes relevant to commercial and industrial construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
  • Experience with project management fundamentals, including scheduling, timeline management, and resource coordination.
  • Established track record managing jobsite safety programs and enforcing OSHA standards.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead crews and interface with project managers, clients, and inspectors.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working on data center construction or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and digital scheduling tools.
  • Background in budgeting and cost control at the site level, including change management support.
  • Knowledge of MEP coordination and integration with cable tray and conveyance systems.
  • Experience delivering projects in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in construction supervision or project management (e.g., PMP, CM) are an advantage.
