Job Description
Seeking a Data Engineer with strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience focused on capacity planning and infrastructure scalability. The role involves forecasting growth, analyzing system usage trends, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, building data models for capacity forecasting, analyzing CPU, memory, and storage utilization, conducting load testing, and implementing automation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Harness). The engineer will work closely with development teams to identify bottlenecks, eliminate single points of failure, and improve system resilience.
Required skills: • Strong Data Engineering and SRE background • Capacity planning, demand forecasting, and scaling experience • Python, SQL, Spark, Airflow • ETL/ELT pipeline development and data modeling • Terraform, Ansible, Harness • Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog • Chaos engineering and resilience testing • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Mandatory Skills: GenAI Cost Tracking & Capacity Planning.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
