Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead the Program Management (PM) Data Strategy & Analytics activities. The team is responsible for establishing a culture of data driven decision making and creating business value through promoting the application of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques across a broad range of business areas. They will regularly interact with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy data analytics systems that are aligned to our strategic roadmap. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial and a self-starter with the ability to challenge the status quo.

This role is hybrid and requires regular onsite presence in Melbourne, FL. Candidates must be within a commutable distance of the Melbourne site.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the NGAS PM Data Strategy, in support the Enterprise Data Strategy

  • Lead the execution of NGAS PM data analytics and AI activities

  • Proactively identify issues and inefficiencies within the business to develop and deploy solutions

  • Drive the adoption of data analysis methodologies across sector and program operations for improved performance analysis

  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutions

  • Actively engage with sector leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational issues and develop solutions

  • Design and manage the NGAS PM data infrastructure and automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes across multiple data sources

  • Build and optimize data models (star, snowflake, data vault) for analytics and reporting

  • Implement robust data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure reliability of downstream insights

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM related discipline and 9 years minimum of related experience OR Master's degree with STEM 7 years of related Data Analytics as defined below.

  • 2 years as a technical leader of product development teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven products

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

  • Strong proficiency developing and deploying Tableau dashboards and the ability to translate business needs into visual insights.

  • Excellent ability to communicate complex analytical subject matter across varied audiences

  • Strong understanding of business and engineering processes, tools, and techniques

  • Experience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologies

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams

  • Experience with UX design and development

  • Must possess an active US Government Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science

  • Software development experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing product visions and fostering effective engineering teams

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources

  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and products

  • Ability to make decisions with minimal support

  • Experience in a program management role

  • Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearances.

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
