Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will design, develop, maintain, and support reporting and analytical solutions that influence decision-making and business performance. In this role, you will leverage modern data warehousing, data transformation, and business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights that support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Contract Term: 6 months.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Data Analytics.

Posting Type: Replacement.

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $71,000 - $100,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Analyze and mine data to deliver financial insights, performance reporting, and recommendations that support business decision-making.

  • Lead and support moderately to highly complex analytical projects and ad hoc initiatives, delivering insights and recommendations under management guidance.

  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.

  • Build and support data models, reporting datasets, and data management solutions to meet business and operational requirements.

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, document, and translate data and reporting requirements into actionable solutions.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data for reporting, dashboarding, and ad hoc analysis.

  • Ensure data quality through data profiling, validation, and analysis of data from multiple sources and platforms.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of enterprise data assets, upstream data sources, and reporting environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience working with relational databases and multiple data sources.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational database systems.

  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization best practices, including Tableau or Power BI.

  • Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.

  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
