Job description

The Pricing Analyst V leads activities associated with the development of cost/price proposals, including strategic planning, analysis, spreadsheet development, and budget analysis. This is a remote position; a candidate local to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA, or Fort Worth, TX) or with the ability to travel is preferred. US citizenship is required.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial pricing strategies aligning with contract cost and pricing principles, aimed at acquiring new and follow-on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing proposals meet strategic and financial goals.
  • Apply a deep understanding of commercial pricing strategies to develop competitive pricing models.
  • Performs quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost/price volume components are accurate and responsive to requirements
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in commercial real estate and facilities management.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities and commercial procedures and policies.
  • Acts as a mentor, coordinating and directing other members of the pricing staff on larger complex proposals
  • Ensures compliance with company and external policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of the commercial real estate and facilities management (IFM) industry
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial pricing strategy
  • Profound understanding of proposal development, including strategy and contract cost and pricing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong mathematical skills for detailed financial analysis.
  • Ability to review and write pricing narrative responses
  • Extensive experience with the components of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of commercial procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline; two (2) years' experience in contracts or pricing may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college
  • Twelve (12) years' experience in cost proposal preparation or cost proposal development; relevant finance experience may be considered for some years in lieu of cost proposal preparation and development; 8 years' experience with a master's degree.
  • Specific experience in Commercial IFM is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail. Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.
