What to Expect

The Associate, Consumer Credit is responsible for underwriting consumer applications from Hyundai, Kia and Genesis Dealers. This position is responsible for making credit decisions that meet acceptable underwriting standards within HCA's policies and procedures as well as adhering to all State and Federal regulatory compliance. All Credit Analyst responsibilities should be handled in an expeditious manner per HCA's KPI's. This position requires flexibility and ability to adapt to a multi-functional departmental structure. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.

What You Will Do

1.      Analyze information from credit applications utilizing the four C's of credit to make sound credit decisions based on appropriate authority level, while effectively negotiating the terms and conditions of loan decisions via dealer phone calls or electronic rehash.

2.      Balance the demands of Production, Sales Support, Risk, and Quality Assessments while maintaining established SLA's. Participate in team meetings and Calibrations to communicate, share trends, review Policies & Procedures and team goals.

3.      Follow up for approvals and pending contracts to increase capture rate and monitor dealer's portfolio. Be well versed in eContract and eRehash processes. Conduct Customer Interviews and investigations when needed to facilitate in credit decisions or assist in the funding process. Coach and assist dealers to resolve funding issues and reduce unclean contracts.

4.      Performance Coaching: Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co-create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance.

5.      Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

        Minimum 1-year automotive finance experience (Desirable)

        Experience with Collections, Funding, Dealer Services, Lease end or Customer Service (Desirable)

        Auto finance or related background is preferred

        2 years of experience in fast paced office environment

        Experience with Dealer operations or Sales (Desirable)

        High school graduate (GED), College Degree preferred

        Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

        Analytical with high attention to detail

        Self- starter with excellent time management skills

        Well versed on company product offerings, reporting and measurement systems

        Ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate both with customers and associates

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment. This position requires flexibility with schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
