Position Title Sales Support Engineer - MN #2820

Location Glenwood Minnesota

The primary function will be to support management, outside sales and internal/external

customers in providing effective solutions to challenging problems involving technical service by performing the following duties by performing the following duties.

Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client's use of proposed equipment or services.

Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.

Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.

Process small order requests and draws up sales or service contract for products or services.

Take incoming calls and inquiries on conveyor products, particularly standard designed equipment.

Verify orders that come in have proper details to make sure engineering demands are set or may be needed.

Order confirmation support to help with purchase order and drawing match ups.

Order entry for products.

Prepare and quote equipment for the call in customers, enter sales orders, and follow up with

customers.

Provide site surveys and order confirmation site drawings for proposals and project orders.

Interface with engineering to confirm ability for equipment that might be considered "one off" as to the feasibility of creating equipment and work with sales group to determine right direction.

Provide timely and accurate application, quotation and technical support to outside sales and

managers.

Recommend appropriate quotations and ensure quotation deadlines are met.

Consult with sales team on technical and pricing issues.

Coordinate with sales on customer requirements as well as provide support to sales as a backup in handling customer's enquiries.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Four-year college or university program certificate in

Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of design software; manufacturing software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software.

2. 2+ years of experience in engineering sales support including equipment quotes and project estimates.

3. Experience with design and manufacturing software.
