Job type: Long term temporary (07/13/2026 to 07/12/2027)


This role independently performs advanced Project Controls responsibilities. Responsibilities include project project schedule development, maintenance; reporting. Develops and prepares project schedule risk analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings as applicable. The role participates in special assignments, process improvement efforts, and Enterprise initiatives while applying deep expertise within established guidelines and procedures. Provides training and guidance to project controls personnel.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
โ€ข Independently collaborates with project teams to support the project controls activities throughout the project life cycle (typically, Major, Mega or equivalent amount of Expansion and/or Tactical Projects) according to established guidelines and procedures. Acts as co-project manager or lead other Project Controls Analysts on large programs.
โ€ข Defines and drives schedule strategy through advanced EVM, critical path analysis and scenarioโ€based schedule assessments. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to team members. Aligns Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Estimate and Schedule data.
โ€ข Develops and implements project risk management plans, facilitates risk workshops, maintains risk registers and performs cost and schedule risk assessments. Captures lessons learned and facilitates project close-out reviews. Delivery of risk management training.
โ€ข Supports contracting and bidding processes by reviewing contracts and Requests for Services and ensuring contractor compliance with project controls requirements. Responsible for reviewing construction contracts in terms of Project Controls contract language as well as contractor estimate/deliverables in accordance with WBS. Applies EVM reporting on their respective projects as applicable. Ensures contractor compliance with company project controls standards.
โ€ข Prepares and presents project and/or program performance reports and variance analyses as required by established deadlines, providing strategic recommendations for mitigation and corrective actions. Trains project teams in reporting systems.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
โ€ข Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Science/Management, Business or equivalent level of education and experience; 8-15 Years of Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Construction or related
โ€ข Preferred: Master's Degree; 15 Years
Certifications/Licenses:
โ€ข Preferred: AACE Certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Other Requirements:
โ€ข Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the project life cycle and its application across complex and highโ€risk projects.
โ€ข If specialized in one area (cost, schedule or risk), demonstrates advanced knowledge of the remaining project controls disciplines.
โ€ข Demonstrates advanced proficiency in projectโ€related software systems and analytical tools and the ability to train others on their use.
โ€ข Proven ability to transfer knowledge and/or mentor more junior project controls analysts.
โ€ข Demonstrates the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems with broad business impact.
โ€ข Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Offers recommendations for system and process enhancements.
โ€ข Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
