Position: Controls Engineer – Mitsubishi PLC
Position Type: Contract
Location: Greer, SC 29651
Duration: 2+ months
Estimated Hours: 40–50 hours/week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer / Mitsubishi PLC Programmer to provide controls engineering and automation support across multiple manufacturing plants in Ohio and North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Mitsubishi PLCs, HMI programming, GX Works, and Mitsubishi Developer, along with the ability to support commissioning, troubleshooting, debugging, programming, and startup activities.

Travel expenses will be covered for required travel to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, troubleshoot, and support Mitsubishi PLC and HMI systems.
  • Perform PLC commissioning, debugging, programming, and system startup.
  • Provide controls engineering support across multiple manufacturing plants.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and automation system issues.
  • Modify and develop PLC programs based on customer requirements.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Diagnose controls-related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Work closely with plant personnel, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support during startup and production activities.
  • Travel to customer facilities in Ohio and North Carolina as required.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and project teams throughout the engagement.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Mitsubishi PLCs.
  • Experience with Mitsubishi HMI systems.
  • Strong experience with GX Works.
  • Experience with Mitsubishi Developer.
  • Proven experience with:
    • PLC programming
    • HMI programming
    • Commissioning
    • Debugging
    • System startup
    • Controls troubleshooting
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in customer-facing environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer facilities in Ohio and North Carolina.
