Description:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with CODESYS (or equivalent experience with Beckhoff

TwinCAT)

• Strong knowledge of Structured Text (ST) programming language

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their

application in industrial control systems

• Good knowledge of control system design including system architecture and automation

device selection

• Good knowledge of automation devices and their integration within control systems

• Experience with Linux-based Industrial PCs (IPCs)

• Understanding of safety-segregated control architecture

• Proficiency in PLC development and logic implementation

Project Leadership

• Manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously

• Lead technical design reviews for control systems and simulations

• Coordinate with global design teams and vendors

• Drive process improvements and technical implementation

• Review and integrate new MHE technologies

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Siemens automation platforms (TIA Portal, STEP 7) and Rockwell

Automation systems (Studio 5000, ControlLogix)

• Familiarity with warehouse automation and logistics systems

• Experience with code standardization and specification development

The successful candidate must demonstrate deep technical knowledge and ability to influence

cross-functional teams while maintaining effective communication with internal and external

partners.

A Day in the Life:

Your work is very hands-on and multi-disciplinary. You will be working closely with vendors,

cross-functional engineers, and project teams. You lead design reviews, write and troubleshoot

PLC code and IPC based code such as CODESYS, documents, demonstrate proof-of-concepts,

build prototypes, and manage stakeholder expectations

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Electrical or Controls Systems Engineering or a related STEM field

- Operations Management/Distribution Center experience

- Experience in technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects or programs

- Knowledge to communicate to vendors and make decisions using industry standard knowledge Controls theory mechanical/electrical systems and passive infrastructure.

- Knowledge of codesys IPC technologies and Ethernet networks

- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and systems and high-speed manufacturing

- Experience to build relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the experience to work in a cross-functional organization

- Written verbal and interpersonal skills

- Analytical and project management skills

- PLC code development and software deployment experience

- Knowledge to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

- Knowledge with Functional Safety standards IEC 62061 ISO 13849 or IEC 61508

- Knowledge with Microsoft Office products: Excel Project and Outlook

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
