Job description

Technical Source is currently in search of a PLC Automation Engineer for an engineering firm that services the pharmaceutical industry in North Carolina. This specific role will support Life Science clients in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. It is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for conversion to full-time after 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities of the PLC Automation Engineer include:

  • Program, Troubleshoot, and Modify Siemens Step7 PLCs
  • Support CQV Activities for Automated Process Equipment and Utilities
  • Manage Automation Change Controls for PLC, HMI, and Validated Control Systems
  • Review and Approve Validation Documentation using KNEAT or similar platforms
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications of the PLC Automation Engineer include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
  • 5+ Years of Experience Designing/Programming Siemens Control Systems
  • Extensive Experience with DeltaV
  • History of Working in a Pharmaceutical Environment
