Job description

Job Title: Control EngineerJob Description

Join a global leading supplier of magnet wire with over 120 years of industry experience. This role is part of the Division Engineering team, focusing on the installation, integration, and commissioning of new automated equipment for expansion sites. You will be at the forefront of innovation, supporting the automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial and residential industries.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC applications, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for the design of panels and schematics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers.
  • Provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.
  • Interface with technical resources to obtain and procure new parts.
  • Assist with machinery integration to the Ignition platform.
Essential Skills
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience with Ignition or other SCADA platforms.
  • Proficiency in transformers, switchgear, switchboards, ethernet networking, and machine communication.
  • Familiarity with project management, FactoryTalk, Simatic WinCC, and Aveva.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with medium voltage equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgears, switchboards).
  • Project management experience.
Work Environment

This is an office-based and factory role where you will design and plan control system projects. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Expect up to 40% travel to various sites, including locations in Canada, Tennessee, and Franklin, IN.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.88/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
