Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc is currently seeking full-time Road Patrol Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean roadway by picking up debris and litter removal. Establish safe Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) setup by deploying cones, temporary signage and arrow boards. Assist in identifying hazardous areas and needed repairs. Performs a variety of road maintenance work including patching of chuck holes, cutting brush, burning weeds, painting and flagging. Performs care, cleaning and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. Completes pre and post trip checks, reports defects and coordinates repairs with management. The position will support locations in the Fort Pierce, FL area. Job site transportation will be provide and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Experience and skills required:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Routinely exposed to traffic hazards, noise, chemicals and engine exhaust
  • Independent work ability
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods.
  • Requires frequent bending, kneeling and twisting
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

SCHEDULE: Full time; Monday through Saturday.

Starting Wage: $17.00 depending on experience
