Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
As a combustion master planner, you will be responsible for the master scheduling and material requirement planning for the Charlotte Combustion Components manufacturing department. Your day will consist of order acceptance according to level loading strategy, resolution of SAP issues/concerns, facilitation of change management, metrics reporting, long term planning, and continuous improvement.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Manage SAP master data, including routing structures, material masters, work centers, and MRP controller responsibilities.
  • Serve as SAP OPP power user and mentor for Operations Management and Planning teams.
  • Own production slotting, order acceptance rules, and conversion of demand into detailed production schedules to support level-loaded manufacturing.
  • Establish and monitor production lead times, throughput targets, and performance metrics, reporting actual results against plan.
  • Analyze production capacity, requirements, and strategic plans; coordinate qualification activities and support capital and outsourcing initiatives.
  • Lead production change management, contract reviews, R6 manufacturing readiness reviews, and annual router/BOM updates to ensure delivery commitments, production readiness, cost targets, and operational standards are met.

What You Bring
  • Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) or Associates Degree with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years manufacturing experience in scheduling, line supervision, industrial engineering or production control.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, master scheduling systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional experience in manufacturing, order/project management, purchasing/vendor support, and multidisciplinary team environments; machining and welding knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills, with the ability to evaluate options and drive results collaboratively.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
